April 27th-May 1st
Students will select topics for an oral presentation which will count for fifty percent of
the final quarter grade. Students will be shown examples of previous presentations and will receive a rubric which will explain
how students will be graded. Listed below is a rough timeline that students can follow to monitor progress.
April 27-May 1 Research and select topics. Presentation dates will be given in class.
May 4-May 8
Final visit from URI Project BEST. At the conclusion of the visit students will have time
to work on projects in class.
May 11-June 5th
Presentations due. Students will be expected to present on the assigned date.
Students who fail to present on the assigned date will be in danger of failing for the quarter.
Any student who is absent on the assigned date will present on the first class in which they return.
Oral presentations should be 3-5 minutes in length. Any student who has questions regarding
presentations should see Mr. Macera at least ONE WEEK before they are scheduled to present.
